Yves Durif, Owner
A native of France, Yves began an impassioned career as a hairstylist at the age of seventeen. Charming and talented, Yves secured a coveted spot at the renowned Jacques Dessange Salon, quickly achieving recognition by winning the "Premier Apprentis de France" award. Stints in Paris and Montreal followed and in 1983 Yves moved to New York to join the team at the Bruno Dessange Salon on Madison Avenue. When Jacques Dessange opened his flagship Park Avenue location in 1991, Durif followed as Style Director becoming one of the most sought-after stylists in New York.
In November 1997, Yves Durif opened the doors to his namesake salon nestled in a landmark brownstone in New York's Upper East Side. The Yves Durif Salon is a quiet haven showcasing the whimsical charm of its owner. Integrated color and styling facilities support Durif's philosophy that rapport between stylist, colorist and client is essential to a truly personal and harmonious style.
A master with scissors, Yves uses French cutting techniques to achieve a distinctive, sexy style for each client. Patti Vaccaro-Hair Stylist
As a talented and down to earth beauty expert, Patti Vaccaro has mastered her craft of styling with over 15 years of experience. Entrusted with the locks of several famous clients, including socialites, models and celebrities Patti cuts, styles and beautifies with such ease.
Patti has worked with Yves Durif since 1992 and joined his namesake salon in 1997, when it opened. She has represented the salon across the country appearing in hair shows and educational workshops. Besides her in-demand schedule at the salon, Patti often styles for runway shows during New York’s fashion week, weddings and photo shoots. Her versatile approach to styling has been featured in Marie Claire, Salon News, Maviology Food and Wine and BeautyNews.com. Patti is also the hairstylist for Wings World Quest.

Dyana Nematallah-Hair Stylist and Makeup Artist
Dyana attended Savannah College of Art and Design and majored in Art history and design and has worked backstage at Rodarte, Betsey Johnson, Gianfranco Ferre.
She is one of our wedding specialists and many brides have commented on how she is able to bring about a theme or idea that they had not entertained to complete their special event. With her background she is able to propel them into a romantic, classic, modern, or glamorous fantasy.
For inspiration, she relates to things in historical paintings, likes Retro makeup, the Victorian period and1940’s pinups.
Her mental image of makeup is that skin should be flawless; luminescent.
She is the creator of THB hair accessories and her designs can be seen in Interview, Women’s Wear Daily and Teen Vogue.

David Johnstone-Color Director
With over 15 years experience, David Johnstone’s expertise is achieving professional color with ease and patience. He is natural at working with the client to find just the right affect.
His collaboration with Yves Durif brought about his weapon of choice, “balayage”, thereby creating more sophistication in color; Johnstone seamlessly takes his clients where they want to go.
His loyal clientele include fashion models, socialites, media and publishing executives, artists and authors.

Kim Serratore-Hair colorist and Stylist
Trained in Europe, early on, at both Vidal Sassoon and Toni and Guy salons, Kim returned to the United States and started with CBS” The Early Show” ,where she has styled the tresses of Maggie Rodriguez.
Kim has had the opportunity to work with Katie Lee Joel, Hannah Storm, Dr. Jennifer Ashton, and Amanda Holden from American Idol (British),Heidi Klum, Charlie Sheen, Patricia Heaton, Rita Wilson, former President Bill Clinton and former First Lady Laura Bush.
